As part of our commitment to these changes, there will also be some exciting changes as to how we at St James plan to deliver our curricular programs to our Year 10s in 2018 and beyond.

ANZAC Day March

Students who wish to march should meet in the RSL car park as per map below at 8.45am on ANZAC Day, April 25th, in their normal college uniform (not sport) including their FORMAL hat.  St James staff, including myself, will be present and will march with the children.  The march will begin at 9.15am and conclude at the ANZAC memorial on Main Street.  An ANZAC service will begin once everybody arrives at Freedom Park.

The RSL have requested that due to Workplace Health and Safety concerns parents DO NOT march with their children.

Student representatives from St James Lutheran College will be laying a wreath as part of the service and we encourage families and students to remain for this important ceremony.

Kokoda Training Run

All Kokoda Challenge students will complete a practice run through Hervey Bay (trail TBC) of around 30km. This will provide opportunity to practice routines, safety procedures and support crew duties in a more controlled space where access is easier. It is also a vital part of student training for those attending the Kokoda Challenge
