Author visit - Cameron Stelzer

Year 3 - 6 students will be involved within activities. 

Cameron will work with Year 3-6 on writing inspiration and strategies.

Year 3 and 5 will have a "NAPLAN writing strategies" session and Years 4 and 6 a session called "Exciting, Descriptive Writing".

Maths Modelling Challenge

Selected students from Year's 9 & 10.

Under the guidance of a USC mathematician or statistician the students are presented with background information about mathematical modelling, estimation and prediction relevant to the problem at hand.

Students will then work in small groups to model and solve the mathematical problem/question and present their findings to the other groups at the conclusion of the event.

4 teams will head to the Sunshine Coast to compete in a large OzTag tournament against other schools

Students must be in full formal uniform for all class and individual photos.  

Hair/ Nails/Makeup

  • Hair is to be neat and tidy.
  • Hair needs to be pinned back off the face.
  • Hair is to be the student’s natural colour.
  • Hair below the collar is to be tied.
  • Hair bands and clips are to be navy, dark green, gold, white or black.
  • Facial hair is not permitted.
  • Fingernail polish is not allowed.
  • Acrylic nails are not allowed.
  • Makeup is not allowed.

Jewellery

Wearing of jewellery is to be limited to a watch, small cross and signet ring. Earrings are to be limited to one per ear and worn in the lower ear lobe. Earrings must be plain gold or silver studs or small sleepers. No other visible body piercings are allowed.
