St James Lutheran College is situated in beautiful Hervey Bay only 290kms North of Brisbane and has a P-12 enrolment of 733 students, with an on campus Kindergarten.
We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated Educator to join our St James Kindergarten team, who understands our core Christian values and assist us in providing the best education and care for the children within our Kindergarten. We invite applications for this exciting position:

Educator - Kindergarten
St James Lutheran Kindergarten is a thriving, locally managed long day model Kindergarten, currently serving 76 families, between 7:30am to 5:00pm. The learning journey begins for children from 3 years of age, who are guided by a dedicated team of educators, to provide quality education and care in a Christian environment. Children who attend the Kindy have priority enrolment into the College, and located within the campus of the College. We are a non-for-profit Christian organisation with a focus on ensuring that each individual child is supported in their education and care journey. Our aim is to continue to provide high quality care, play based education, inclusive practice and help foster and enhance each child’s development. We value kindness, empathy and believe building relationships is the key.

Position requirements:
The ideal candidate for this position will have:
• Cert III or Diploma, ACECQA Approved Early Childhood qualifications
• Current First Aid, CPR, Asthma and Anaphylaxis certificates
• Valid blue card
• Focused on positive outcomes for all children
• Ability to work as a team member
• The ability to uphold the Christian Ethos of the Service
• Experience in working with mixed age groups of children
• High level of written and verbal communication skills with Families and all Stakeholders
• Knowledge of all relevant and current legislation including National Quality Framework, Early Years Learning Framework, Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guideline and/ or My Time Our Place Framework.
